Hey y'all. I know I'm a day late to the peplum party. I like peplums, but I honestly thought I'd pass on this trend. I just wasn't sure it was for me. So, what made me try it out? Well, I was looking for a red dress and came across this one in JCPenny. The only reason I tried it on was because it was $5!! Yes, you heard me right, $5. You can't beat that with a stick. I paired it with one of my new favorite things to wear these days... ladylike shoes. Don't get me wrong, I still love my 4-5 inch heels and platforms, but lately I've really been into pointed toes, peep toes, sling back, dainty ladylike shoes.

Spring Has Sprung

It has been a day short of forever since we've blogged! We had to tend to some family business. But we're back. Hope you enjoy this pretty Spring OOTD.

A year later...

So, last March I posted an outfit wearing this same stripped dress from H&M. See here. After I took these pictures I realized that though the 2 outfits are different, they really have the same formula:

Stripped dress + Contrasting printed scarf + Black tights + Bright colored shoes = CUTE!!

Do you like these boots I scored at Goodwill? I debated whether they were cute or not for a while. In the end I bought them anyway because they were 79 cents a pound! The cuteness is still debatable, but I really like them now. You can fold them down to expose more leather, or wear them up to show more suede. Plus, no one else in town is walking around in these babies!

Leather Gloves & Boots

I love this look! The cardigan with pockets & gold buttons paired with the plaid wool mini skirt has a classic rich look. The over the knee boots and leather gloves bring rebellion to the look. By the way, today is my birthday! Happy Birthday to me!!
